Reuters reports that more than 140 businesses joined Open Standard to launch Open USD, a dollar-pegged stablecoin expected to go live later in 2026. Crédit Agricole completes agentic payment transaction

Finextra reports that Crédit Agricole, Worldline and Mastercard completed what they describe as France's first agentic payment in production. A customer set festival-search parameters, selected an option proposed by the agent and then instructed it to initiate the purchase; Crédit Agricole retained issuer authentication and authorization, while transaction identifiers supported traceability.
